SURF, SAND, AND SUPPORT FOR CANCER RESEARCH
Surfer Timothy Erickson, a high school student in Long Beach Island, and his friends are on a mission to ride over cancer. They named this effort Boarders without Borders. Timothy jumped right into the deep end by collaborating with Jetty, a New Jersey born clothing company for board riders, to design and sell male and female tee shirts emblazoned with the CINJ logo. A portion of the proceeds benefits cancer research at CINJ. Timothy’s passion for the cause stems from his family’s personal experience with the disease. Through “treatment and prayers” his Dad has survived this disease and is cancer-free, an inspiration to Timothy. Timothy and his Dad continue to enjoy the sport they both love. His grandfather was treated for prostate cancer at CINJ and his brother is a medical student at the UMDNJ/Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. This young man, with a sporting entrepreneurial spirit, decided to find a way to fight cancer and honor his family.
Timothy says Boarders Without Borders gives boarding enthusiasts a way to use their passion for a good cause. So hit the beach in style and join Timothy and Jetty in their efforts to support CINJ (You can order shirts online at www.Jettylife.com, search clothing for men and women under short sleeve tees).
