HIGH SPEED CHASE FOR THE CURE—5K RUN/3K WALK
The Rutgers University Police Department will once again join with the Rutgers Student Movement Against Cancer, and race sponsor Citigroup Smith Barney of New Brunswick to host the 7th annual 5k run/3k walk. Last year, participants and sponsors raised nearly $20,000 for research programs and to assist CINJ patients with unmet financial needs through the Patient Relief Fund. For those avid runners, the event is a sanctioned run on a USATF certified course. The Livingston Campus of Rutgers (The RAC) provides the perfect setting for a morning run/walk – we hope to see you at the starting line! Special thanks to last year’s partners, the Rutgers Daily Targum, the Rutgers University Division of Student Affairs; the Rutgers Interfraternity Council, Panhellenic Association and the Pan-Hellenic Council. For more information and sponsorship opportunities, please contact Leanne Kochy at 732-235- 4956.

PARROT HEAD CLUB'S FEEDING FRENZY
The Coastal Jersey Parrot Head Club (CJPHC), part of a national group of Jimmy Buffet fans, will host their 5th Annual Feeding Frenzy June 1, 2008 to raise money for ovarian cancer research. CINJ will once again benefit from this party with a purpose; last year the Parrot Heads presented CINJ with a check for $8,000. More than 130 adults and children enjoyed the event. This year’s event is happening in Seaside Park at the Sawmill Café Green Room from 1:00 PM-6:00 PM and is children friendly (or keet friendly as the Parrot Heads would say). One of the organizers of the event, Pam Favocci, Secretary of CJPHC, is currently being treated at CINJ.

PRINCETON WOMEN'S FOOTBALL CLINIC
In the off-season, Princeton University football coaches take on a unique one-day challenge: turning a group of enthusiastic women into two football teams ready to take it to the field.

For the past 6 years, hundreds of women have made donations to fight breast cancer in exchange for a morning of football instruction and drills and the opportunity to put their newly gained grid iron knowledge to the test with a friendly (most of the time) touch football game.

Join Princeton Head Football Coach Roger Hughes and his staff at this fun-filled, low pressure, football 101 experience. For more information call the CINJF office at 732-235-8614.

STEPHEN J. COHORSKY JR. MEMORIAL BOWLING BENEFIT

This year marked the 7th Anniversary of this special event that has raised over $80,000 to fund experimental treatments for patients with leukemia at The Cancer Institute of New Jersey. More than 250 people attended the all-day event, which included bowling, raffles and a silent auction. We thank the entire Cohorsky family and the Woodbridge Bowling Center for all of their hard work and dedication. Without their efforts, the three trials that they have directly funded would not be possible.
